Designed to cultivate gardening skills utilizing curriculum from Texas A & M University. Some goals of our Horticulture curriculum:
- teach basic concepts of plant development, soil and water, ecology and environment, insects and diseases, and landscaping.
- include participation in planting, maintaining and harvesting our accessible Keyhole gardens (generously donated through a grant by the Wylie East Fork Rotary Club), our butterfly gardens, composting bins, and our pecan orchard.
- use scientific concepts that increase understanding and appreciation for God's creation.
